About DirectSalesHelp.com

My name is Sharon and I have been in direct sales for five years.  While I am definitely not an expert in regards to Direct Sales, I feel that I have quite a bit of knowledge and would like to help others who are out there and are struggling with their business.  Even if you are not struggling, you may need some assistance with some aspects or your business or need ideas to help your team mates.

I started with romance and was in that field for two years.  I decided that it was no longer for me and that company I was with was not a good fit for me.   I was not ready to leave direct sales, but I was not sure what I wanted to sell from there.  I did some research as to what types of companies were out there, and ended up in candles, which was not where I expected.  I had my first recruits within my first few months, and made Manager within a year, and consequently earned a free trip to Arizona for training.

The idea of this blog is to help people with their journey in direct sales, which is why I decided on this Question and Answer format.  It allows for a bit more of a relaxed feeling on the blog instead of being preached at.  You will find an area where you can submit your own questions, which would be greatly appreciated!    While I know what types of things I have needed help with, I do not know what you may be struggling with and by sending in your questions, I can provide help.

Directsaleshelp will also be using guest posts for different topics.  There are questions about more than just the sales aspect of things, such as how to prepare for taxes, software and helpful books.  If you feel that you can contribute something that would be helpful to my readers, please fill in the “Contact form” and let me know what you would like to write about as well as a method to contact you.

One thing you do need to remember is that I am based in Canada, so some of this information may different if you are living elsewhere.

This blog is a great idea, and is much needed. I recently heard that nearly 90% of people quit their direct sales business within 90 days, mainly because of lack of quality training and support.

I have also been in the direct sales industry for over 10 years and I love it! I get to help people improve their health and finances. A friend of mine called network marketing “the best personal development program in the world–with a compensation plan!”

I look forward to more of your posts.
